Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, I will be keeping the same stance as the current KCSO administration to protect your constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Regarding the pandemic mandates, enforcement of those mandates is solely up to OSHA, we would only become involved if it became a criminal matter. My focus will be to do what is best for the citizens of the county and the peoples rights.

  • I find measure 114 to be unconstitutional and do not feel it is enforceable the way it is written.

My vision is to bring up patrol staffing in the Sheriff's Office to better support the community. The county just recently appointed a new head District Attorney who is tough on crime and holds criminals accountable.

In regards to the homeless issue, measure 110 is being revamped and should be completed by no later than 2025. Drugs will now be a misdemeanor crime. In the county when a homeless location is established, we have a Deputy Liaison  who makes contact and disperses the homeless camps. I am very aware of the effects that measure 110 has caused across the state and our county and I will do my best to reverse the effects with the help of all three agencies and the BINET drug task force.
